IDE to SATA Converter (Parallel IDE Device to SATA Host)
The IDE Hard Drive to Serial ATA(SATA) Host Adapter is a small adapter/converter, which allows users to connect any IDE/EIDE hard disk drive to a SATA host adapter/controller. This converter allows users who don't have SATA hard drives, and want to take advantage of the newer SATA host adapter on the motherboard, which will allow low thermal, easy airflow, and high performance while using the standard IDE hard drive.
As the name suggests, SATA is a serial storage interface which will replace the current generation of parallel ATA drives. While IDE/EIDE drives can not be otherwise used with today's SATA based PC, ARCO's IDE to SATA Adapter will bridge the technical gap between today's parallel 40-pin IDE/ATA drive and the thinner 7-pin SATA cabling, allowing greater airflow throughout the PC chassis. This IDE to SATA Converter has been designed to allow you to use your existing IDE hard drive with the newer SATA host connections. The SATA connectors and cables are smaller, which improves air circulation, Improve data transmission, and access speed.
Features and Benefits
This adapter is a practical add-on solution that is compatible with today's leading operating systems, and can be utilized alongside the existing PC architecture without the need for physical modification. The smaller cable and connector significantly improve airflow within a computer's chassis -- this helps combat the risk of damage to vital PC components due to excessive heat retention.
